Steering wheel groan

I have a 2000 RX 300 206,000 miles. Groan when turning steering wheel left or right. Watched youtube video, it suggested may have air in system. Recommended testing system with vacuum device to determine if leak exists in tubing. Anyone have experience with this?

If its groaning from near the floor you probably need to lube the bushing where the steering wheel shaft goes through the firewall.
