So I just got a 1999 RX300 and I am looking at putting a Remote Start / Push Button start in it. I already have the unit I am going to install. It is a passive unit that will work like the new cars, so I just have to have the FOB in my pocket when I get in for it to work. I am just wondering if anyone has done this and what advise would you have. I did the same thing to my Land Rover and it worked great. I found the wiring diagram for the RX online so it shouldn't be that difficult, but I am sure there are a couple secrets that will help make it a seamless installation.

I am also ordering a 9" Android radio for it in the near future. I found one that includes the CANBUS adapter and everything for $400. This is my first Lexus and I am excited to make it my own.

I also do not have experience with after market Push Start units either. But I have after market Alarm System with Remote Start on mine (2001 Lexus RX300)
Make sure you have an Immoblizer By-Pass unit (the Remote Start feature probably needs one to operate correctly, since these Lexus vehicles usually have Ignition Immobilizer as standard equipments.. If the paired key is not present, the ignition can crank but there is no fuel delivery).
