Srs dtc b0113 rx300
I had a bad driver seat Buckle. The Buckle light was OFF. Replaced the Buckle with new one from Lexus. Seat Buckle light came on fine. At the same time I had my Airbag light Flashing. I suspected that my Buckle was the cause of my problem. However, after checking the DTC from my INNOVA 3150b, I found a trouble code "B0113" past and current reported on my Scanner. Cleared the code and 10 days later I the Airbag Flashing again. The B0113 code was annotated on the scanner as "Short in Side Squib (RH) Circuit (to +B). i need help in locating the short and where the Side Squib (RH) in located on 2002 RX300. Thanks for the help in advance.

My RX300 Airbag Flashing light had a DTC = B0113 (Short in Side Squib (RH) before and after replacing the drivers seat Buckle. I reset the this code the first time. 10 days later the Flashing light returned. I reset it again to make sure the the problem is NOT present. 8 days later the Flashing Airbag Light came back on AGAIN !! Help does any on have any idea where the source of this malfunction. All I could think of is probably a connector issue at passenger front seat. That could be wiring short, sensor problem, or seat belt issue. I would be very thankful if someone has had experienced the same malfunction in their Lexus RX300 to reply. I really do not want to tear the passenger seat location to troubleshoot the problem if a member experienced that same.
Thanks, EJDossary, EE

Seems like no one else has run into this issue.
Only suggestion I have is to expand your search to include other models of Lexus in CL or check Toyota boards. If you do find an answer, please followup and post here .. just incase some one in the future has to follow your footsteps.
The only cautionary note I remember associated with airbag sensor is not to insert to turn the ignition key to run with the battery removed. Since no work should be performed with the battery installed, I always put away the key as long as I am working on the vehicle. If by chance you have done this , then narrow down your search to this particular case.

I've never worked on the airbags. I don't like the idea much.

Once I clear the Code with my Scanner, the B0113 Code is displayed again. I replace the Airbag yellow connector and even
that did not solve my problem ?? Anyone have the same issue, please reply to this thread. I am beginning to believe my problem
lies with the Side Sensor itself for the RH Squib issue. I will tackle the RH passenger sensor next in hope that will put the problem to BED !!

Ok so I see you are an EE so I assume you are fluent and able to read schematics and use a meter well?
If so I have some info on this I can send.
What is suspicious is you replaced the seatbelt buckle and this code appeared immediately after if I understand correctly? Please confirm.
If so I would suspect a distured connector/wire/harness that is internittently shorted to B+(+12vdc) as the code suggests and rule out the Airbag Center Assembly ECU or failed sensor for now.
Seat must come out to inspect wiring and Techstream is advised to continue further because you will want to check everything airbag related.
As others have said this is delicate work and I've heard being clumsy with a meter and probing things that shouldn't can also set off airbags- battery must be unhooked for a while.
