Default Help!!! Airbag light!

I have a 09 IS250. It was in a light accident no airbags deployed. I have it all put back together and there is a airbag light code b1650 for occupant classification sensor and when I run zero point calibration code b1797 comes up with abnormal calibration. When I do live data stream on the computer and push down on the seat it still shows weight like someone is sitting in it. I am stuck on what I should do to get the light to go out thanks.

Try the OCC zero calibration first. If that does not work go to youtube and pull up the 3 videos from Joe Portelinha dealing with the issue.
More often than not when you can't zero calibrate its because the airbag computer has corrupted software.

I'm trying to make sense of his process though. Did he use another computer copied the data from that then copied it back to the corrupted one??

Thats how i understood it. Looks like he uses tech stream to upload the data/software from a new/used airbag computer than downloads that
info the corrupted one.

I purchased the car used with a warranty. Im taking it back to the dealership for the third time next wednesday which is way I've done some research on this.
My fix will likely be very much like the Joe Portelinha fix.

if you don't want to reset the airbag ecu yourself this may be a possible solution.

I called that place before and the girl who answered the phone was kind of clueless to what I was talking to her about but maybe I'll call again see what they tell me

I just completed this. Followed Joe Portelinha's videos and it worked. You will need a non corrupted module to copy the software from but make sure you use the same exact part number. This corruption is caused by snap-on scan tools.
