I would as the seal is right there and about $50 part and if it leaks requires hours of labor.

I know I should change the rear seal, even though it is not leaking. My question was about the procedure, how to, since I have not changed one on this type of motor before. Thank you for your help.

Youtube has a few videos.

It is fairly obvious procedure but like any job a simple task can give you headaches. People use pick, seal removal tool or even sheetrock screw.
Access would have been more difficult with the engine in the bay, but since you have it out 2 mins job tops 10.
