Default 2002 RX300 Shift-lock override

It's becoming routine for me to have to use the shift lock override button to shift from park in to reverse in the mornings. Is this an indication that I need to replace the shifter cable?

First thing to do would be to ask some one to stand behind and see if the brake lights come one when you press the brake.

The cable parts is to engage the gears, but the issue is with the safety interlock.

If the brake light does not come on, check fuses and the brake switch. [around the brake pedal]

If they come on, then check the release relay ... around the override button.

my override cover for the override button is stuck. Where is the fuse I need to check?
