When I go on various websites it seems I can find a wiring harness for 2001 and newer RX300's but not for older ones.

Is my assumption correct that in the black plastic box thing under the spare tire on the bottom of the car, that there is no wiring harness plug for easy plug and play?

So the only way to install one is to tap into the tail lights? Please advise, thanks!

On my 99 I have a module unique to the the 1999-2000 model years. On my 2003 there is a plug-n-play connector.

The original 1999 modules were prone to failure. A revised module was released to replace it. Still plug and play. Search on this site, there are plenty of posts on this.
