my ignition warning and radio stay on even after engine is turned off and the key is in my hand. how can I fix this problem 2001 Lexus 300RX

yeah wrong forum but I bet your ignition switch is bad. I've had that issue in a VW before. Part of the ignition switch broke and when I pulled the key out it stayed energized. There is usually a plastic electrical component on the back of the key cylinder where the ignition wires go in and out of. When you turn the key it connects and disconnects the contacts for the ignition, starter, etc

Does anything else stay on that's supposed to turn off when you remove the key (eg cigarette lighter socket)?
