Weirdest thing happened to me yesterday. I parked my car on the driveway (1993 GS300) turned the key to off position, and nothing! The car stays started even with the key pulled out! Now, I know that the fuel is cutting out with the key turned back, cause within 5-10 seconds the engine will stall out. The radio power also goes off.....However, the dash lights remain on....as well as the DRL lights....the steering tilt and telescoping remains where it is. I pulled the negative terminal and put it back on.......this fixes the problem until you go to start the car again........

does anybody have an idea of what this can be? Could it be a malfunction in the ignition switch?

 

do you have any aftermarket electronics in your car like alarm radio .....
