Default Unable to control A/C temperature

I'm thankful that my A/C is working, BUT I am unable to control the temperature. It doesn't matter whether I set it to 65, 75 or 85, it always blows very cold air.
Even with the vents redirected, it gets so cold that I have to turn off the A/C, then back on when it gets too hot in the car.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong with it, or what I might check?

Thanks!

I went through this a couple of years ago; the air mix servo gave out, and was stuck on cold. My solution was simply to replace that servo, and problem solved!

Thanks, Nick. I was thinking it must be due to an interior air temperature sensor that went bad. I didn't realize the air mix servo could be the culprit

Cwatx,

There are many threads about the air mix servo. Here is a valuable one for locating and removing the servo.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...made-easy.html.

Before buying a new servo, you might be able to fix the one you have. Most often the grease inside has gotten contaminated and shorts the contacts. You may be able to take it apart, remove the dirty grease, and regrease with excess grease that is in the servo.
This thread has photos of the grease cleaning.

When my 1965 Ford did that it was because the sensor in the evaporator had gone bad..

I finally got around to swapping out my air mix servo last week. After freezing my *** off on a 2 hour car trip with no heat, it was time!
Thanks to everyone here for the excellent advice, and for the those who have posted to the threads that show DIY with pics - those were extremely helpful.
As others have mentioned, the hardest part was accessing the screw located behind the pipes. Other than that, it was very easy.
