Try switching in/out of auto headlight mode. Not that it will cure your problem but it would check two different paths to activate headlights.

Switch out of auto and then start tracing 12v, starting from the headlamp socket back to the switch and then to the battery.

Tried that from the steering column to the light socket. Everything is good. Not using the factory recommended Sylvania bulb. Will try that. Sold it have anything to do with both fog lights not having b I lbs in them?

Bulb: Just make sure they are working. Check for continuity [ohms]. Also make sure you are using the same wattage bulbs .. if you chose ultrabrights, they are usually have shorter life. If you used higher wattage bulbs [causing more current demand] puts more demand on the wiring.

Fog lights interact with high beam but having no bulb should not make a difference. Although my interest is peaked by why other circuits/loads are being questioned. Do we have other issues or lately some work has been done.

Who you say everything is good ,,, do you get 12v on the bulb socket? If so use a low wattage bulb like the done light instead of the voltmeter. If you have a bad connection, the voltmeter can show 12v but the wire can not sustain any current, a test bulb can verify that the current capacity exists.
