Default Engine mount or transmission mount

I think I have mount problem. When I drive, if I loose acceleration, then push back little faster, I feel some hit. Like engine mount is bad. But it could be engine mount or may be trans mount, right? So, question is, is there a way to check and determine that? (Upper engine mount is pretty good).

I believe best way is to get a helper, and while holding brake pedal switch in and out of gear while watching the engine mounts. just don't get ran over. maybe put blocks behind wheels.

Thank you, Thomas. Ya, it's dangerous thing, for one who will be looking at mounts. Now I think, I will try to set up videocamera, to see how engine or trans mounts doing.

grow a pair and just do it. No one is going to run over you unless they are an idiot and they take their foot off the brake. And if that's your concern, stand to the side and look over the fender. Setting up a video camera is a little over the top.

Default In the same boat 11 GS350

Upon idling in very low speed inside of it getting a vibration from the front right of the car I had my tech friend help me out and he told me the power rake the car when I did the engine is it a big old jump in the engine bay so we came to the conclusion it was the mounts. I am currently searching for a part and I’ve only been able to find 12361-31430 from Lexus and I keep hearing all aftermarket are solid rubber and not the fluid filled Lexus design. I have no idea how to replace them and have been quoted $180 for labor so am going to keep searching for a better part price and will look into the trans mount since you are saying it’s so easy.
