Brought the car into Lexus 95' Es300 and was told I need the front engine mounts replaced.

As I understand, there is a dogbone mount, front engine mount and rear engine mount and then a trans mount. when they say two front mounts, does that imply the dogbone and one front mount?

It seems most people can change most of the mounts except the rear mount (which I don't plan to change) but I don't know where they're located or what they look like

The more I research this the more confusing it gets because I went to some car part sites and it seems like there is a special mount for a transverse engine???

In order to see the transaxle mount, you have to take off your left front wheel and remove a plastic guard that held on by 2 10mm screws and the mount is right behind it holding up the transmission. The front engine mount is located under your oil filter. If you don't know how to find the torque mount (dogbone)... then you need to send your car to a mechanic to change these...

I posted a pic on that other thread you started. The front mount is the one that is like a ball with a triangle around it, and the transaxle mount looks like a W from the side.

Good luck, I just changed these exact 3 mounts on my 93' and it took me 5 hours plus I changed my front 2 brakelines to SS goodridge lines. If you don't have a dedicated assistant, then you better not even try. My brother helped me out.
