Default 2001 Left (front) Engine Mount

After overlooking the web, I have decided to create yet another thread, this time regarding my engine mounts. I've had this car for a month now, and have reached the end of the list of needed repairs, thanks to everyone in this forum. (only thing left after I repair this is the driver side CV axle, which I just received in the mail.)

Now I firmly believe the only mount that needs replaced is my front engine mount (or left, according to some people.. NOT the dogbone, which was replaced recently)...

My question is would this bad mount cause a jerk when putting the car into D? The engine makes little to no movement when put into R, but definitely raises and clunks into D (see video)... Also, would having this bad mount cause very noticeable shifting throughout all gears? My car is equipped with the electronic mount which is fairly expensive. Looking at my mount, does it look like a vacuum line is missing? Would a missing vacuum line cause the mount to malfunction and quit working completely?

That looks like too much movement to me, probably why your dogbone mount went bad. Are you sure a vacuum line is missing? There is one of the back/bottom of that valve it's really hard to see.

If you do replace mounts, seriously consider getting genuine parts here, aftermarket mounts are iffy at best.

I'm not positive that there's a vacuum line missing. I'll need to lift the car and take the plate underneath off so I can check. Regardless, I'm going to try to change the mount with an OEM replacement soon and hopefully that will fix the issues I'm having, main issue is jerk when putting into gear, and the shifts that feel like the car is going over a hill each shift. Hard to explain but doesn't feel like a transmission issue.

Before you get another mount. Have you tested the front mount with a vacuum pump?
