Hey folks, my friend has a 2000 RX300, and her car is exhibiting a lot of the same symptoms my '92 Toyota MR2 did regarding the windows/door locks. The windows will intermittently stop working, or sometimes, will roll up/down all by themselves. The fix for my MR2 was to fix the broken wires in the driver's side door wiring loom. Is this also a common problem with Lexus cars? I've also seen this same problem with a 4Runner, and it's a common problem with MR2s, so I'm thinking maybe it's a Toyota/Lexus thing? Thanks for any help...

 

Water intrusion? check the drains in the doors for clog/slow

Rats? / Vynocks? frayed wires

If it were only that windows were going down I would suspect the safety feature.

 

I had same symptom on my RX300 and mine was bad window switches. After replacing switches, the problem went away.
