A few years ago our transmission cable broke and had to have it replaced. Before that happened we noticed the shifter had gotten very "sticky' and hard to lock into gear. After the cable was replaced the shifter moved like butter. Well now several years later its sticky again.
Anyone have the same issue and know how to adjust and/or lubricate the cable???

Was the jacket replaced or just the cable?
It is more work, but this time replace both the jacket and cable.
Lubricating the cable should be done with graphite (dry lube). Oil of any kind attracts grime and things like wd-40 dispel lubricants.

This was done many years ago so I have no idea if the jacket was replaced.
