Change oil filter?
Has anyone changed their oil filter on their own
on the RX300? I have a 2002 model, and the
oil filter looks totally inaccessible.
Just a guy who is used to changing his own oil. Thanks

I have done it on my 99 RX here in Mexico. You have to remove the lower cover (with the 10 nuts), and then reach around in front with a clamp to take out the filter. It was a pain.
I switched from a Toyota OEM filter to a K&N filter on the advice of several gringos, who found the Toyota quite inadequate for the Mexican climate. Moreover, the K&N is easier to change since it has a nut on top that allows for easy removal of the filter with a wrench.
