Both the instument cluster and center stack lights on my '99 RX are dim in the daylight and bright at night. It seems as if they are working backwards. Headlights are set on "Auto". The adjustment **** will dim them further, but not make tham brighter in daylight. Does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe some f the bulbs are blown or it could be that they have accumulated dust.To see if some are burnt out ...

When it is dark,turn the display bright **** down to see if the display is lit evenly.

If they all brighten and dim evenly with the adjustment ****, I wonder if the rheostat switch has gone bad -- should be cheap to find one from LKQ or another salvage place.
