The power windows will only operate by using the master switch. The window lockout button is not depressed. They were operating properly till now. Any ideas would be appeciated.

I would start with disconnecting the battery to reset everything.

 

It's possible the lockout switch is bad on your master switch.

 

I disconnected the battery and still no change. I depressed the lockout button and found that then the master switch wont actuate the windows. With the lockout button up the master will work the windows. I'm not sure what this means...does this indicate a bad lockout switch and can I replace just this switch or is it an integral part of the master switch?

The lock out switch will lock out all windows except the driver's window, even if you are using the master on the driver's door.

Double check and see if your driver's window works when the lock is on.

From what I can see the lock and window switches are all one part. Might be able to replace the lock with soldering, but no separate part number for it. Looks like a pricey part even used on ebay. Seems like you are looking in the right area. I will pm you a link to some more help.

the master switch itself is possibly bad. Its locked out like stated above. You will need a new/used master switch.

Problem resolved.....I replaced the master switch and all works well now. Thanks for all the help.
