Default Window switch bad? only one wondow?

Just looking for advice before I buy a new master window switch.

All my windows work great and all switches work.
The master switch does not do a quick up or down on the passenger rear window.
No blinking light and I have tried the reset procedure anyway.
It will do a quick up/down from the passenger switch itself but not from the master control.
It goes up and down but you have to keep your finger on the button.

So I am thinking I should replace the master switch?
Found one on eBay.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks

If it operates properly from its own switch I would suspect the master switch. When you said you did the reset do you mean you reprogrammed it using the hold up hold down procedure?

Yes that is what I did on both the window and master. Even tried disconnecting the battery and reprograming all of them again. Its still bad.

You can take the master switch apart and try cleaning the contacts

Good call I was thinking the same thing!
It was pretty dirty when I got it from the PO so there could be something ugly down there!

That's strange that you point that it. Mine has done the same thing since I bought it. Rear passenger window. Never bothered to fix it though...

Just cleaned the master window switch on my Land Cruiser, cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner and Q-tips, windows got MUCH faster when it's cold out! Be careful taking the switch apart though, the contact pivots come out, there are springs that can come out, and the window lock button came apart on mine which took some time to find all the bits, figure out how it went back together, and then figure out how it went back in without blowing apart again.

There's a lot that could go wrong, but it's a 5 min job to do again now that I've been in there.

I was going to say try switching it with someone else if you know anyone else with a GX470, but let us know how it goes.

The new aftermarket works great even all the small lights work. I did not realize mine were burnt out.
It's a different color than the OEM and the feel of the button click is not as nice as OEM.
So I opened both switches (3 screws and pry the side tabs open).
I then switched the circuit boards.
I now have OEM color and feel with a new circuit board that works perfect
