Rear Oil Drain Plug???
when the guy was changing my oil the other day he said that the rear drain plug was well rounded and looked like someone had been hitting it with a hammer... he was sure he could get it out.... but didnt want too until i had the replacement part...... so does anyone happen to know the toyota replacement part number for that plug.... he said it shouldnt be too expensive... kinda hoping the highlander uses the same one so i can just get it at one of my toyota dealers this week..

depending on how much you drive an driving conditions, that oil needs to be changed around 60k (please double check). The only goodness in changing the plug out would be that it would be easier to pull it out now. Remember to tell the mechanic to add fresh oil (oil should not be reused).
The part should be less than $10. For DIYers, it is highly recommended to first open the filler plug, before attempting to open the drain plug. Both the plugs have a tendency to bond (bi-metallic electro-bonding).
Give your lexus dealership parts dept a call. It may save you a trip if they are out of stock.
