Default Aux Input

I know this had been discussed a lot...but i want the easiest way to get an aux for my ipod/iphone. The DIY's on here are broken down into parts and direct you to a different link after a couple of steps and then I get lost. I was wondering if this would work for the RX300:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...em-stereo.html

And, if you have any other suggestions or any other DIY's. Is there any other way, I'm okay with soldering wires because my uncle is an electrician so he can help me there, but I just need to be sure I'm soldering the correct wires. And for the setup, do i need to have a blank disc in there, or will it be easier to use a switch? Again, I want to do the easiest, so I don't mind having to put an empty disk in there.

If it is easy enough, I will make a picture DIY, and if it's a little more than anticipated I will take pictures only for future reference.

Thanks in advance!

Is this all that I have to do? Solder the black to the 2nd and 4th spot, and solder the white to the 1st and 3rd spot. Is there anything else to that, other than plugging in a male rca cable to that for an ipod or what not.

Will fm stereo modulator's (not a transmitter, but modulator the one's that you plug into the car antenna and then into the radio) work in the RX300, if so will the music have static?

I've decided to install a iSimple Apple iPOD Modulator instead, there isn't really a complete and clear diy on here; they all refer to other threads and it starts to get confusing.

Ugh, what a pain...

I used the USA Spec PA15-TOY on my '01 RX300 with Nav. I had to buy the Lexus harness for it, but that was only $15 and it is direct plug and play and it charges and plays my iPod Classic which I know is different from an iPhone but the newer firmwares support iPhone, says USA Spec.

Anybody tried the USA-SPEC or DICE with the 99 or 00 RX300?
