Smile code po1155 solution

check engine light and vsc light. brought to auto zone showed code po1155. they had in stock a bosch sensor, i installed it after trying a denso ( internet shop) which apparently was defective. what was a little aggrivating was i called denso tech services when the denso sensor did not work. they brushed me off and said take it to a lexus dealer-btw lexus wanted $500.00 installed. my final cost $ 189.00, 5 minutes of my simple labor . done, i know you can buy a universal one for $50 but i wanted a quick neat affordable fix. go do it your selfers!! D

The worst case scenerio i will get a new maf at auto zone for $95. and be done with it.Bosch sensor holding up so far will repost down the line.

i put a new maf from autozone in and after 5-10 miles the light came on again. po171. i used the reset tool from autozone and drove again 10 minutes. the light came on again po171 with a new maf. I took to autozone and the knowledgeble sales person said to disconnect the negative battery, then give a try, if still problem, they will exchange for another new one.

I'd love to hook up my computer to your vehicle with my diagnostics packages to see what is going on there, that's the first thing I'd do after getting the light again.

I've had some trouble with my A/F sensor readings during the past week, but only because of the extreme heat we've been having in South Florida.

Wait until you get the code again. Some of these things are temporary. I get codes every so often myself, delete them, and won't see the same code for weeks sometimes.

This should shed some solutions to your Lean codes.
