Question Overdrive problem

Help! My RX 300 only goes into overdrive about 50% of the time. Runs fine otherwise but has codes P0171 (Bank one too lean), and P03330 (knock sensor bank 2). Pulled EFI fuse and light went out for a few minutes then came back on. Cleaned MAP sensor and light stayed on. Still intermittent overdrive problem. Any suggestions on what to do next?

You have two problems with engine.

Replace your MAF sensor and this should resolve the P0171 code. A bad knock sensor causes the P0330 code. Replacing the knock sensor this is very labor intensive but will resolve the P0330 code. By driving your car with a bad MAF sensor it caused your knock sensor to work overtime and may have burned it out.
