Default Stereo sound

Hey all you audiophiles out there. I'm just a little disappointed with the sound quality of my "premium" sound. I regret having not opted for the Nakamichi sound. Do you have any advice for upgrading my current system? I'm wondering if new speakers would make a difference and if the supplied 250w amp is enough. By the way, I'm not fond of a lot of bass since I listen to mostly classical and new age. Thanks!

First, just try new speakers. And then if you don't get the sound you like get a 400W 4ch. amp to push the new speakers.. That should help the New age classical in you..... But remember get good speakers......

Thumbs up

Thanks for the advice mrsypher. I kinda thought new speakers were in order. Do you or anyone else have any suggestions for quality speakers? It's the 4" speakers in the back that are most disappointing but I might as well change the 6.5" speakers in the front as well.

Me personally, In my last RX I changed all the speakers to "Rockford Fosgate".. But don't use those.... Very good speakers but not what your looking for... Your best bet would proboly to go with "Infinity Kappa's" there Component speakers...
They are mid's with tweeters in them... My brother has them and you get real kick@ss sound.... Really crisp....

Is changing the fron and rear door speakers as "easy" as removing the old ones and plugging the new ones in and mounting them? Are the mounting areas and wiring the same as OEM?

Nick, From what I remember it was that easy. I didn't do it myself, I had the guys who did my monitors do them for me.. But if I knew then what I know now I would have did them myself...
I might open the doors up and take a look. I might want to put those Kappa's in there myself... All this talk about speakers... I don't know why I like to spend money like I'm playing Monopoly...
