^^ I'll might as well clean those. Will using a Q-tip very carefully work in those 2 threads? How often should they be cleaned? I heard 20,000 miles or so.

You can just spray contact cleaner in there. It doesn't get the same layers in terms of accumulation of crud that the diode gets. Then just gently blow in there and let dry. I would do it at least once a year (gets all the different types of crud that occur through the different seasons of the year).

It is a possibility, even if it ain't dead, it could have an issue, although much, much rarer. Usually, the coil will just die. My guess is still something related to the air coming in.

Well I bring it up because Ive heard of a few Subarus that have had this issue. Power will just die for 10-15 seconds and you can't go above 20 mph. In that case the coil is in the process of dying, but not quite there yet.

Lexmex- I finally got the codes from autozone.....they are 171, 141, 1130 and 1150.....the guy there told me to clean the MAF sensor just like you said I'm going to give it a try Thanks =)

P0171 error is the normal culprit on the MAF, but the other codes are STRONGLY related to A/F sensors (2 of them) that come off the front and back off the engine. This is a picture of one of them on the front bank.

Go ahead and clean the MAF for now, but what you want to do after the MAF I am going to show in my next step (as it is something we often do in this forum )

After you are finishing cleaning the MAF, you will see this fusebox in the engine bay (this actually isn't the only fusebox in the vehicle).

After opening the top, you will see this. Find the fuse outlined in blue known as an EFI fuse. With the key out of the ignition, remove this fuse for about a minute. Then put it back in and start up the vehicle. It may chug for a bit, but give it a few minutes to warm up. Note if check engine light comes back on or not. Doing this will temporarily clear any codes, but they could come back immediately or later if something is truly wrong (as opposed to a temporary condition picked up by the vehicle's sensors).

Thank you soo much! Cleaned the MAF and it is running SO much better. I've only driven about 20 miles since but it's running great. We reset the codes and so far no check engine light. Thanks again!

If the light shows up again, there is a good chance A/F sensors may need replacing, as the codes other than P0171 (related to A/F sensors but indirectly) strongly relate to an A/F sensor problem.
