Hello, has anyone done the LLumar Platinum Plus(TM) window film Roll# PP35-4960-2631474 in the front windows?
PO put black in front, and it think it looks like poop with the already ugly factory green tint on a black RX. I'm considering to at least match the front, since the mismatch doesn't look good.

I suppose OEM tint can be removed if you completely pull the windows off your car and place them in acetone bath for 10-20 hours. This should work unless the tint is embedded in layers (?) of glass.

 

ok, before the confusion begins, i'm not looking to remove the factory tint, i'm looking to see pictures of rx's (preferably black ones) that had done the llumar platinum tint in the front windows to match the rear

 

the previous owners tinted the front windows. its a little lighter then the rear.

 

It is supposed to be done on the exterior side of windows, right?

 

nope.......interior side.

 

I actually had them all tinted, so the rears are darker than stock.

 

How durable is this stuff? I want to put these on my silver RX. Where did you get yours? Do you know any regulations in TX about window tinting?

PS: I occasionally smoke inside of the car.

 

i have had mine done for 5+ years without any problems. 35% is legal on front windows..........not too sure on the rear.

To confirm, the image we see is Platinum Plus 35% on the front and Platinum Plus 35% on top of factory tint in rear?

I need to know as I am about to get PP installed. I'm thinking about 18% front & 35% onto factory tint in rear (What do you guys think?)
