Default dash light replacement

I read through the procedure for removing the instrument cluster to change out a bulb- it's very helpful but the only thing that was not clear is how to remove the trim panels next the the steering column (the ignition on the right, the seat memory/mirror panel on the left). Do I pull away at the top, bottom, side? I don't want to break any tabs and have to replace a panel.

Thanks

Just pull from the top and side of the panels straight out towards you. Don't worry about breaking the panels, they can handle the force.

I need to replace the shift gear indicator bulb for the D position and need to remove the instrument cluster. Could you point me to the removal procedure?

Thanks,
