A Squirrel was able to find its way into my cabin air filter and put a bunch of paintballs (that had been on my garage floor) in there. It is not too far fetched that some kind of rodent could get in there. Still need to find the intake and cover it with wire mesh.
like cards or more like an old guy dancing? is it soft or rather loud? i know it couldnt be your cd player (is it?!?!). do you live in cold weather? lots of factors to consider....could it be the aftermarket in dash 8track player? sorry...im sure im doing more harm than good...

Does the sound coming from your dash. Coming from behind the glovebox? Sounds like a clicking or fan running sound? The fan speeds up and then slows down? You can only hear it with the car running. AC and stereo off?

joy - i have the same problem in my car..the sound plays every few seconds..it sounds like it is coming from behind the passenger glove box area..i thought it was the CD but it isn't..i read somewhere it has to do with an A/C vent/compartment opening and closing..not verified tho...hmmmmmm

this is the exact problem i have. It goes away too sometimes correct? Then will pop up randomly sometimes a week away or sometimes a month. I brought it to lexus and they claimed it was fixed. I really want to get rid of it. You can only hear it if the car windows are up and doors closed. You really have to pay attention for it.
