Default Help...please!!!

I own a 2000RX300-and I desperately want to do a lot of work to it, however, I have no idea where to start! I went to Discount Tire to look at rims a few days ago, and I think I am going to put 20's on it..is that a smart idea or not? Also, the headlights/taillights. I really want to get rid of the taillights I have and replace them with the taillights that come on the 2001+ models, but I heard that it is $500 a piece per taillight...and i'm wondering if anyone knows of any good vendors in Arizona or on the internet who sells for cheaper than that. I also want to get the new headlights with the xenon HID bulbs, but again I have no idea where I can purchase those. I'm 16 and a girl so I have no idea what to do here, but I really want my RX to look good! If someone could please help me out here I would greatly appreciate it! (=

Cool Problem

Hey, Welcome to the club, u beat me to gettin a lexus i guess. I am turning 20 next month and got a 05 rx 330. But the best way to find out if the headlights are adaptable, go to your nearest autopart store and they will be able to answer your question or call ur local lexus dealer. , well good luck and welcome. Also what color car is it?

20's are nice but u have to realize that your tire life will wear out faster than a smaller diameter rim. I was considering 18 or 19's but i am not as fortunate as you b.c i live up in michigan. so i will have to wait. I feel just like you. i am so excited to pimp out my ride... but right now i cant really cuz i am really pushing my money account. I hope u got dough, then you have no problem.... i imagine u are ...

Start by looking at the Club Lexus sponsors. Also do a search on Steve Ganz or Carson Toyota who can possibly get you the Lexus parts at discount. Search on the www for the parts you are looking for. I would suggest sticking with Lexus/Toyota parts when possible.

HID upgrade is more elaborate than popping the new bulb as it needs the ballast as well. Again search the www. Lot of people disagree with me on my view about NOT installing HID's on vehicles which do not have the auto levelling mechanism buit -in.

So make a prioritized list based on your needs and wishes and price.

Most of all don't forget to enjoy the vehicle and exercise care.

welcome to the club! i ride on 20's but up here in the pacific nw i put the stocks back on in the fall...i have 20x8.5 front and back and the tire size is 245/40/20 - here some pics http://www.cardomain.com/id/strmrdr426 ...they can get kinda pricey but shop around as there's a little more choices now as far as brands go...tire wear ain't that big an issue for me cause as i said, i swap out to the stocks when it gets cold...might be a different story for ya out in AZ, tho...head lights, i just have some jdm piaa bulbs in there right now...they are super white but not HIDs...until i figure out how to cut the glare from true HIDs i'll spare the oncoming traffic check ebay for the tail lights...good luck and have fun
