Question 2000 Rx300, Unstable Idle Problem

MY GIRLFRIEND WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AND OUR 2000 RX 300 STALLED OUT. WHEN THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE GOES UP, THE CAR'S IDLE GETS VERY UNSTABLE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IT HAS ACTUALLY "DIED" ON HER, BUT STARTED RIGHT UP AGAIN. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS CAUSED FROM?

Sorry for the late reply. I believ ethis due to a device called Idle Control Valve. I just acquired a 99 RX300 and I looked the service history. The last owner already replace that twice. Not a very good sign to me.

Idle settings are not very simple anymore and with emission restrictions mehanics (specially the dealership) wont mess with it till the problem is diagnosed. I would say its time to take the RX to a qualified mechanic.

Default Help RX300 running rich . Idol dropping at complete stops

Many help would be great
1999 RX300. V6 automatic transmission
no back firing

hesitate when I give it gas from a dead stop

Low idol

99% sure fuel problem

anybody knows with the fuel filter is ?

no lights or codes on dash

My educated guess saids it's going to be the fuel pressure regulator

this is my daughter mother truck . I need to get it right

Welcome to CL

You will need adapters to fit pressure gauge and then specs to measure the line pressure and volume (flow) to narrow down the fuel delivery issue.
Dont forget o include quality of fuel.
Fuel injectors.
Air intake (oxygen sensor).
