I was sitting at a red light car has been running well. My fuel level is about 1/8 tank which is lower than I normally let it get. It also was hot out yesterday over 90°. It just stalled sitting there idling in drive. Then i went to pass someone wide oepn throttle and it had no passing power. I feel like the low fuel is letting heat get to that worn pump that is starting to fail. Any other ideas?

Fuel pump is about the last part of the fuel system to fail in these cars. Do you have a scan tool? Would be nice to see real time fuel trims and check for any pending or current codes.

I have a cheap code reader. No codes. Took a second to restart and then puttered starting like little fuel. Heat affects these pumps a lot.

You've decided the fuel pump is bad without any testing that's potentially setting yourself up for failure. But if you're convinced then fire the parts canon you might get lucky.
