How did your car end up all the way in San Diego? I'm tempted to check it out haha.
Congrats on the new car! You now have the fastest Lexus ever made, sans the LFA.
Sold at Dealer auction by Lexus of Fremont and purchased there by Lexus of San Diego. I wouldn’t buy it, previous dealer failed to sell at $62k and sent it to auction. I have not babied that car in the way it was driven. It also was a press car for Lexus and initially owned as a corporate fleet car by them for the first 7k miles or so. That means a variety of reviewers tried this car on and off the track.

I also put ~20k miles on that car from April 2021 to Jan 2022. That was enough for me to burn through 2 sets of rear tires 👍. I used launch mode on it 100+ times.
lower lip had a good amount of paint peeling off it which they cheaply patched under the passenger headlight area. If you look under the lip you’ll see someone scraped it pretty hard somewhere they lacked clearance. (That was prior to my ownership)
It still ran strong (it’s a lexus) but I wouldn’t want to own it out of warranty. Here’s the car if you’re curious. Maybe you can use this info to get it for ~$60k?
^Wow I appreciate the honesty and transparency. I guess you have nothing to lose by sharing that, it's all out of your hands now.
I agree $72k is super high after knowing what it's been through.
This is what it looks like under the car’s lip. That was in the parking lot at Toyota of Tacoma where I bought it used. I used that to negotiate the price down. Always inspect cars thoroughly! I looked stupid today laying down on the floor in the Lexus showroom but I checked everything.
Let me know which s/c you get, maybe we can get bogo offer lmao
Likely the RR Racing RR780 Supercharger Kit base kit as there's limited ethanol stations on the west coast and I do intend on taking the car on trips in the Pacific northwest. Back when I lived in Canada it was easy to get 94 octane gas at Petro-Canada, also easy to get 93 octane on the east coast/midwest. Here in California I'm mostly limited to 91 octane readily available at gas stations so I'm hoping they tell me I can still run it even though they mention 93 octane on their website. Given it will be a street car with occasional track use it has to remain practical.
Unsure on exhaust at the moment. Looking at valvetronic systems so I can be quiet-ish when I encounter CHP. What is people's experience with RR's racing bazooka system vs armytrix and others.
^^^^Have you thought about octane boosters? I use Lucas Octane Booster. It raised my KCLV from the mid 19s to the mid 23s. In Arizona we also have crap 91 gas.
For exhaust look at PPEs Dual Mode Unit. I had it on my ISF and have it on my LC. Both with PPE headers.
While I'm at it. Can anyone recommend an installer for exhaust + SC system? Pref NorCal but could consider Reno, LA or Vegas areas.
