Tune
OVTune is fairly new and showing promise of being useful for true remote tuning, just need more tuners to start using it.

i have a Borla exhaust. will there be noticeable gains with this tune compared to if i was stock?
1. Tune w/ completely stock car vs. only a midpipe, how much difference does it make?
2. Completely stock car + tune, will it have smog problem?
3. If we choose to revert back to stock tune, will we have to pay for the tune one more time?

Yes you always have the option to revert back to stock. You would either have to send your ECU in for us to reflash or we would have to send out the tuning module/cable again to do remotely.

1 step colder plugs
air deflector and high flow filter
PPE headers (powder coated and wrapped)
ark exhaust
throttle response is much better in S and S+ while normal is very drivable. Different car almost and power is much nicer!!

QUOTE=RRRacing;10771811]Hi everyone,
Alec from RR Racing here - we offer two options for the 2015/2016 RCF(2017+ is in the works), both a traditional bench flash where you send in your ECU to be flashed along with a remote tune. The remote tune means we would send out a tuning device/cable for you to flash the car and then return the device to us. Upon receipt, we would refund the $550 deposit for the device/cable. Both are going to net the same power/tq but just differences in flashing methods.
Gains are noticeable on a bone stock application, along with improvements in throttle response. When paired with exhaust, headers and intake is where you typically see closer to 440-445whp/395ft-lbs.
Please feel free to give me a shout with any questions or for a quote!

419 whp - catless midpipe, drop in filter, eveything else OEM
421 whp - catless midpipe with custom gesi 50025 cats welded, PPE EL, RR racing tune, drop in filter.
430 whp - catless midpipe, PPE EL, RR racing tune and drop in filter.
The tunes were done on different days so there could be slight variation, but car was driven/tracked in between each dyno session, so ECU had lots of learning time.
I don't have a bone stock baseline but this should provide a pretty good picture about what to expect with header and a tune. From a bone stock to FBO, you can expect 20-30 whp gain, but don't expect to pick up a lot of hp just with a tune. The tune is mainly to turn off the CEL from deleting the primary CAT.

I currently have a stock dyno and catback dyno.
I’m getting dyno’d on 1/18 with the intake elbow. And then whenever my headers come in I’ll get a dyno from that. And I’ll overlay all of them and post it so we can see the true progression step by step.
