Quick history
My new to me RCF hit dealer's lot in 2/19 and was not sold until 9/19. Purchased in NY, driven to FL and traded in shortly after arriving. I picked it up with 1,900 miles and drove it 1,000 miles back to VA. Now sits with 3,000 miles and minor imperfections one might expect from 7 months on dealer's lot and 2,300 miles on I-95 (a few chips, minor scratches and light swirl marks).
Beauty Parlor Treatment
The few chips were touched up
A Stage 1 paint correction was performed on the entire car with a little extra attention to the light scratches
The front bumper, fenders, hood, mirrors and rockers received a layer of PPF
The chrome surround on the windows were covered in matte black vinyl
Forgot to mention
G-Techniq EXO V4 was applied to the entire car.

Looks great! That blue really pops well. I have PPF on the hood, pillars, mirrors and under the door handle as well. It protects really well. How are you liking the car so far?
Thanks for asking.
After having manual cars for so long before this one, the every day driving is certainly not as engaging. I struggled with the change before buying this car so I knew the driving dynamics would be different. I did not buy the RCF to compete with the other performance brands in the marketplace that it is associated with. My reasons to purchase the RCF (in no particular order) are : Lexus brand/reliability, NA V8, unique appearance/style, comfort for me and my wife (wife was not comfy in the 911) and decent, but not great handling (which covers 95% of real world driving). I have only owned the RCF for less than 2 weeks so I will reserve some commentary for later, but initially, I like the way it handles for a heavy, luxury car, I like the brakes, I like the acceleration, I like the piped in sound effects (my 911 had piped in induction sounds as well) and I like the potential for changing the exhaust note (but having difficulty finding one that suits me using online sound bytes). I have owned and modded many performance cars in the past but really don't see a need for changing much on the RCF. I view it more of a GT cruiser than a sports car so doing things like tuning, making handling characteristics changes, weight reduction ideas or even adding body parts to change the look has no place in my future for the RCF. I accept it for what it is, and so far, I like it as it sits. One more thing, I like the mica blue over grey leather color combo and finding a low mile, fairly new used RCF in this color combo was a bonus for me. As a side note, I did consider the LC500 but was not as comfortable in the cockpit as the RCF and my wife did not like it at all.
Full disclosure, my wife owned a SC430 for 10 years, hence my "handle" in this forum.
Looks amazing. I love the blue and wish it came with the light seats like yours in Canada - I think blue with a black interior is only available here.
Why does your car come with the Performance Package wheels but not the CF roof and spoiler? I thought those went hand in hand?
Thanks for your comments on the color combo. I like it very much.
I am not up to speed on the availability of options as it relates to the packages, but as I understand it, the wheels on my car were a standalone option. My car does not have performance package.
Thanks for asking.

First, your car with the detailing work looks awesome. It is amazing how a quality detailer can bring a car to "like new" condition.
Second, I 100% agree with your comments on liking the RCF for what it is...a GT cruiser and not as much a sports car. I think that's an important perspective to have, because people who try to compare it to a sports car will probably be disappointed or at least underwhelmed. It would not be my first choice for a weekend warrior sports car specifically for long drives down back country roads. It CAN be that, but it's not the reason I'd buy this car. However, for a car you can have fun with but also daily and take on a long road trip, it is fantastic. The Lexus reliability and the uniqueness of it are also important factors to most of us owners.
Thanks all for the kind words. I usually do my own detailing, but in this case, I wanted it done a lot quicker than I could of done it, especially since I was planning for the PPF (which I would never attempt) It just made sense to to have my detailer do the entire job. He did an outstanding job IMHO.
with regard to the G-Techniq EXO, I have personally applied it to 4 previous vehicles, including my wife's Avalon and Highlander. I have found that it retains it hydrophobic qualities and shine for over 2 years. That said, my wife and I are both retired and our vehicles don't spend a great deal of time outside of our garage. It is a somewhat easy install if you take your time. It does involve a rather detailed preparation if done properly to include: good wash, clay bar, polish (paint correction if necessary) a complete wipe down with alcohol/water mixture to remove all contaminants and finally, EXO installation.
