Default NO throttle response when turning from a complete stop

I've noticed when I'm turning from a red light, there is the occasional complete lack of acceleration when turning, almost as if the car cuts off or is starved of fuel. It resumes accelerating once straightened out. Is this normal? What am I doing wrong?

Known issue, theres a tsb for “hesitation”. My car is at the dealer today for it, I hope it works!

Not really an issue. This is caused by the ECU firmware programming that was modified when the untended acceleration fiasco occurred back in 2010. Lexus at that time modified the firmware to prevent the throttle from functioning when there was a foot, even lightly touching the brake. At the time I had an '08 ISF. I refused that recall and it was never performed on my ISF. Fast forward to today, I now have a three week old LC, and sad to say, the firmware is behaving exactly as described in the first post. I'm not happy about it, but not much I can do.

And of course, this happens to left foot brakers, folks like me.

The TSB listed in the post above me is for:

Tsb: some 2015 & 2016 model year rc f and 2016 gs f vehicles may exhibit an abnormal buzzing noise condition from the low pressure fuel pump. the engine control module (ecm) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition.
Makes no mention of "hesitation."

Or transmission changes, or anything else for that matter. The ECM gets a full reset, but the only code change is how the low pressure fuel pump in the tank operates.

I've had the fuel pump recall completed last week and I am still experiencing this hesitation. Does the TSB cause or eliminate this hesitation with the ECM reset?

I have a 2018 RCF and I haven't noticed this issue. I have had the traction control back off the throttle when taking off where the rear tires spun (tight turn or wet road conditions)

Never experienced this issue. I always keep it in manual mode so maybe, it is an auto mode only thing?

As stated in the post just above yours, and my last post just above that, the TSB has absolutely no effect on your hesitation issue.

Well, this is quite annoying. Driving in to work at 40mpn on a straight road, I floored it and it seemed like a full second before the car accelerated.

I was in SPORT mode. Put the foot down all the way, I braced myself for acceleration, I almost hit the steering wheel in doing so as I thought I'd be pushed back lol.

It seemed forever, yes, and it has happened on the expressway a few times. Dangerous when one is expecting for the vehicle to accelerate if overtaking or passing and it does nothing.

^^^^If that is the case, that is not normal at all Something is wrong. Take it to the dealer. What you describe is dangerous.

I know the feeling. It happened on my ISF when a faulty solenoid switch interacted with my ECU. But, it threw a code and I was able to analyze it.

I apologize for creating confusion with bad information on that TSB.
