totally happy with it. install costs were much more than I hoped but I live in the $ilicon Valley so super expensive for services and wanted a reputable shop with good reviews.
notes:
- reused weatherstripping. car is two years old and installer said no need
- they hit me with a $40 glue charge, whatever.
- had to get the replacement windows tinted.

thank you also for the inspiration and leading the way.
I am glad that everyone believed me that I said that you would be greatly happy with the upgrade. Looking at my weather strips, I too could have had them resealed after the fact. But since Lexus service manual requires replacement, I did just that. But in the end, Lexus should have had them on from the start. Oh well, 2020 owners have them so they can concentrate on other upgrades! RCFGrandpa
I had a vinyl wrap cover the chrome surround by my buddy who also did the detailing and PPF install. Cost was $75. To be honest, I found a couple of locations where you see a very small chrome sliver, but I am completely happy with the job for the money. Here is a pic.
You guys need to stop giving me ideas to do with money I haven't even earned yet. We will add it to the list lol. Congrats on the LC, talk about a dream garage!
I saw a 2019 RC350 F-sport at work the other day (I guess the regular RC changed the headlights in 2019?), it has the same protrusions as the 2020 RCF ones. Only instead of being black, it's a dark chrome, same color as our grill trim. I kinda like how it looks a little better than black, plus it matches the grill. Just another option for those lurking.
Up next is figuring out if the 2020 mirrors are plug-n-play.
it's definitely the cleanest but most expensive way to go however i'll never need to worry about them degrading like a wrap. one thing to keep in mind, after you install the new rear window assy's if you want them darker than stock you'll have to get them tinted again. more cost.

Yes, mine were wrapped and I went this route and had to re-tint. The tint that I used to have had been discontinued, so I had to retint the door windows as well. Nevertheless, worth every penny!
By the way, I ended up with an extra set of black molding and back glass for one side of the car - Long story, but it kept coming damaged in shipping, and after sending them back for replacements a few times, I got an extra. Since I did not end up paying for it, I will gladly let someone have it FREE if they pay the shipping (I can add enough bubble wrap that the clip doesn't break off). Obviously, local pick up in Gilbert would be free as well. At the moment, I forget which side of the car it goes on. One side was twice as expensive s the other for unknown reasons. I kept it around until after my install, and now have it in my storage unit.
PM me if somebody wants it - and I'll take a look to see which side it does on. If I remember correctly, it was the cheaper of the two - just not sure without looking at it.
