RC F Track edition??

After seeing no horsepower gains in the 10th Anniversary i'm glad Lexus is at least making an attempt to spice up the RCF. I'm sure the gains will come from exhaust (possibly the TRD titanium?) and tuning mainly. We have all seen how much the carbon parts from TRD Japan are, so it will be interesting to see where those carbon parts are sourced and how much those are going to cost buyers. Sounds like a $93k + RCF is coming .

Lexus is pretty conservative with their power bumps. LFA got a whopping 11 HP more for the Nurburgring Edition from 552 HP to 563 HP (the engine was strung out already) so I think at best, it will be around 490 HP. It will all be on the top of the rpm band so it will not show much in the 0-60 mph times. Maybe, 500 HP if Lexus is feeling very adventurous. The weight reduction might bring it down to 3700 lbs or so. Still, it can be a great track focused car.

This article is saying 3130 lbs due to carbon fiber hood, roof and side sills (?). Can’t imagine hood and side sills reducing it that much over existing Performance Package roofs. What do you all think?

It might be 150 - 200 lbs lighter at best. Maybe, in the 37XX lbs range, but with all of the mandatory safety/crash equipment (even without back seats, no ML stereo, lighter seats).

The car would be a beast at 3130 with the existing power plant. No how, no way will it be DOT legal at that weight. We can only dream for something like that.

Very excited about this. It is great to see RCF going out with a bang with this model. Since it is a very limited production, Lexus will probably bump the power up to 490 - 495 HP easily if they go easy on the emissions as it will not impact the fleet average much. Would be curious to see what updates the standard RCF gets. Would be awesome if the redline is increased to 7800 rpm since it is makes the most power at redline, it easily can use another few hundred rpms.
p.s. Yes, it is facelifted.
