Default RC F Track edition??

https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/2...oit-auto-show/

I'm excited for this. Let's see how much weight they can cut out of the car.

Wow, I was waiting to see if Lexus had anything new on the F at the auto show. If this will be faster I wonder how much more power they will be able to squeeze out of the 2UR. I guess If the 2020 model will be refreshed, will it be FI? Most likely not though, would it make since to change the motor in the middle of a lifecycle.. Glad to hear about this though.

"There are no details yet on the 2020 Lexus RC F or on its Track Edition, but Carter promised media that the car would be the "fastest, most powerful" Lexus model -- aside from the erstwhile LFA supercar."

If they are using the same 5.0 V8 that means 472hp....LOL j/k

Hopefully its good bump to drive that power to weight ratio down. Unrealistic that it might be a twin turbo 4.0 V8 making 520hp?

Are we going to get a facelift regular version of the rcf or just the track edition? I'm sure the track edition will be 90k starting price or more .

Very excited about this. It is great to see RCF going out with a bang with this model. Since it is a very limited production, Lexus will probably bump the power up to 490 - 495 HP easily if they go easy on the emissions as it will not impact the fleet average much. Would be curious to see what updates the standard RCF gets. Would be awesome if the redline is increased to 7800 rpm since it is makes the most power at redline, it easily can use another few hundred rpms.

p.s. Yes, it is facelifted.

From looks of it will probably have similar headlights on new RC with new front bumper , rear bumper, new tail lights.

Wonder if the front bumper and new lights will be interchangeable with our current models. Quite like the 1 unit headlights on new RC.

I think you will need to replace the full front fascia (bumper/grille, lights), but definitely it seems possible.

I can't wait to see it and find out more about it. If it is a real performance monster, it is just what Lexus needs to promote the F line of cars.

I am betting it costs around 150K.

No way will it cost more than the LC500....$150k is LCF territory.
I highly doubt the "facelifted" RCF will have over about 510-515 hp (crank) TOPS. Of course it's losing a lil weight as well, 120-150 lbs (my guess).

Well, the RC F and the LC both share the same engine right now. Isn't is plausible that the track version might share the same engine as the rumored LC F? If so, it's rumored to be a 620 HP twin-turbo 4.0L V8.

No, the videos of RCF lapping the Nurburgring clearly have the same sound as our RCF. It is the same engine. Just about 15 - 17 HP more. Probably around 490 HP. Around 250 lbs weight reduction is my guess.

Ah, ok. I haven't seen that. I was just hoping for more.

After seeing no horsepower gains in the 10th Anniversary i'm glad Lexus is at least making an attempt to spice up the RCF. I'm sure the gains will come from exhaust (possibly the TRD titanium?) and tuning mainly. We have all seen how much the carbon parts from TRD Japan are, so it will be interesting to see where those carbon parts are sourced and how much those are going to cost buyers. Sounds like a $93k + RCF is coming .

Lexus will most likely manufacture the carbon fiber pieces itself just like Lexus did for our carbon fiber roof and spoiler (and the hood for Euro Carbon RCF). Same carbon fiber loom that made parts for the LFA.
