Yeah, the shoulder does press in pretty hard. Despite the padding/leather on the center console, I agree it does get quite sore if it takes a while.
I’m having such a hard time getting the original harness off. On my second day I have a 16’ IS300 AWD. Should I take it to my dealer so they can remove it for me? Or my local mechanic?

I struggled a lot until I figured out how to get my hand in at the correct angle while sitting in the driver's seat. Granted you have an IS300 and it might be a bit different in how the harness plug is positioned relative to the driver seat (maybe), but I honestly would say keep working on it. I exactly thought the same thing as I had bruises on my shoulder and my thumb for trying to repeatedly squeeze my torso under the dash. I was about to throw the towel in until I decided not to go in the driver's side well and just sit in the seat and put my hand underneath the dash to reach the harness/plug. It allowed my thumb to land at at the right angle with the thumb pointing upwards when I grabbed the plug. It is easy to apply pressure while pushing it upwards from that angle.
p.s. It is such a good little mod as it makes the car feel a lot more lighter on its feet since all of its effect is when you want the weight to suddenly move from steady speed or from a dead stop. It will get the weight moving so quickly in the initial phase of the throttle application, it gives the illusion of a lot more torque available at the low end.

yes I tried what you explained and still no luck..
hopefully I’ll get to see the ending
Would you be able to point where I should press on? I even tried with gloves on because my thumb is hurting lol
See the circle below. You need to rest the tip of your thumb on the top of the tab (best done while sitting in the driver's seat) and roll your thumb in while pushing upwards and it will pop out. It happened pretty easily once I had the thumb angle such that, the tip of the thumb was on the circled tab and the mid of my thumb was resting on the middle part of the tab. Because the top of the tab sticks out, you don't need to grip it hard with your thumb to exert force upwards.

I tried this last night again and my arms aren’t long enough to reach while sitting down on the drives seat.
thank you for your help

You can try what I did. Get a plier like this, tape the two metal arms (i.e. eletrical tape) to provide some cushion. Slightly clamp onto the plug, don't use a lot of force, don't press on the blue feet, you'll crush the plug. Use your hand to grab onto the plier in the yellow circle, with the plier clamping on the plug, push it up and it should come out fairly easy.
