Damn I know about our current situation but does the springs really cause faster wear?
Depends on the type of springs you get. If the spring rating is high enough, it will not cause premature wear on the dampers. However, if get soft springs like the RSR super downs (significantly softer than the swift springs) then it will wear out your dampers quicker. Swift springs are quite decent as far as spring rates go.
Thanks I currently have 19 inch wheels and the rear gap is a lot better the the front so want to drop the front a bit more. Keep in mind I am riding on stock suspension. If I lower just the front, would it deter the car's performance or cause more wear on the front suspension?
Here is my current ride. Should I stay stock or do you think getting springs will make the car / wheels pop more. I am a newbie in nodding car's so all the help would be great!
I would say, in order to keep the car predictable and consistent, you want to put swift springs both front back. Your rear will have minimal drop anyway. Having a different spring rate front and back could make the car unpredictable or even dangerous especially when you are pushing it hard into, through and out of the corner. The front and back compression/rebound is impacted by how the spring compresses. Springs typically drop more on the front anyway compared to rear. I believe swift has about 1 inch drop on the front and 0.8 inch on the rear.
I also notice the same thing. The rear end is absolutely perfect as there is barely any space stock. However, the front has about 2 inch gap, but I am sticking with the stock suspension despite the monster front space being an eye sore.
You can see, I have the same dilemma. Front has about a 2 inch gap while the rear barely 1 inch

This is exactly what Im seeking to do next! Not jacking w suspension or rears, just want that drop up front. Also, shop told me they usually bring you back in like 300 miles for doing an alignment. Sound right?
RSR will most likely be my choice. Then again my dumba** doesnt know any different anyway.
Know Labor Rates differ but what are most folks seeing for front end mount times?
Yes, you need alignment once the springs set-in properly. I did that on my other car where I put Megan Racing springs and then alignment after 500 km (about 300 miles).
I would steer clear of RSR super downs because they are soft springs. Your shocks will work hard to keep up with the spring pogo'ing up and down with soft spring rates. That will lead to premature failure of your shocks (it happened for at least one member on this board). Go with swift spring as they have significantly higher spring rates than super downs and will work better with the stock shocks. Also, your adaptive shocks are very expensive because they are electronic. Trust me, you don't want to blow them up as it will be a costly replacement.
