tilt wheel connector
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the connector for the tilt and telescope feature of the steering wheel? I have to use hand controls to drive and the "certified" installer decided the placement of the wheel and then disabled that function.
I have been to my local dealer to see if they can rectify the situation and was told that they won't touch the hand controls, but, if I have them removed, they will look at the problem. I had to shake my head when I told them that if I had them removed, I can't drive the car.
This is so frustrating. It's 2 bolts to drop the controls from the column, but I need to know where to look from there. Can anyone help?
The wheel still moves when the car is started, so I don't think the installer actually broke anything. I HOPE they just disabled the button on the side of the column.

Disabling the switch would set DTCs and you would see something on the dash indicating a failure. The switch itself talks to the Tilt & Telescopic ECU - it has its own computer - through two wires with varying resistance depending on which way you move it.
