Default PPE Headers + Apexi Catback Exhaust Clip

Hey guys,

RRsimonsrr or some username, white RCF w/ PPE headers, apexi catback, swift springs, and stance wheels, came by to pick up a new PTS/Joe-z exhaust, and before he made the switch, I was able to get some quick exhaust clips.

The exhaust sounds great in person! Love the difference with the headers.

I'll try to get him to stop by again with his Joe-z/ PPE setup, so we can get a legit exhaust video with my GoPro + External mic hooked up to the back of the car.

Although I think the car sounds awesome, I can't substantiate spending $3K on a set of headers and another $2K on an exhaust just bc its a Lexus. Idc how good the welds are or if it's got a polished mirror finish! A custom one off installation on most cars won't even approach that amount. Does a Lexus require any less or more work than say a 5.0 Mustang when it comes to the exhaust - nope. So why then are we looking at double the cost? Aftermarket manufacturers think bc we spent 75K on a car that we can afford to dump 5K on an overpriced exhaust. Not this fool.

Agree with your statement but I did spend $4500 on the Meisterschaft exhaust/mid-pipe and I can say this....while it's overpriced, the quality and construction is the BEST I've ever seen on an aftermarket system.

Although this is true. The price for exhausts like Akrapovic Ti exhausts are definitely worth the money in my opinion. Other exhausts, not too sure.

But for name brand exhausts, you can always sell it back to the market for some of your money back, not with custom exhausts though.

2k is a lot for an exhaust?!? You've obviously never owned a performance car before......2k is a drop in the bucket. Not trying to be a ****, but calling people fools makes you look stupid. Just a simple exhaust from ARK or Invidia for a Subaru will set you back close to that. Try an HKS for my old GTR or something for an M. Welcome to the JDM world of Mods.

I came from the mustang side (an 06 and 07 supercharged Saleen) so I know that you're used to the lower cost. You also need to understand that the Mustang market is HUGE. An exhaust company might sell 1 RCF exhaust for every 100 Mustang exhaust they will sell.

more like 1 in 10000. RCF market is tiny even compared to M cars and that's the conundrum for us enthusiasts. there are just very few quality options in the USA. the stuff from japan is just too over-the-top for those of us migrating from german marques.
