When is that car going to race? Read it was a whopping 10-sec off the pace, and Lexus wasn't ready to race it yet. But don't know how long ago that was. I saw that comment on my most recent Road&Track, so can't be that old, no? Hopefully they're ready for the next season.

Semi-related question: How the heck do you (as an outsider) get passes for the SEMA show (meaning inside)? I'm not going this year (Nov 3-6, by the way) after all, since we postponed our Vegas trip for Christmas and new year. But would like to for next year... if I can get freaking passes. Can you find them on the secondary market, like StubHub or such? And who gets passes? I assume aftermarket sellers who belong to SEMA, but do they get passes automatically, have to buy them, or earn them somehow? Curious how that crap works

Take some pics or write some articles for a blog, and register as Media. That's your easiest way in. Some of my friends are trying to get in through local tuner shops, but they're asking for copies of pay stubs this year so it's not working anymore.
It's getting harder and harder to get secondary market tickets, they're pretty brutal with checking to make sure the name matches to get the wristbands.
