I'm actually picking up my RC F today, and it'll be headed up to JPM Coachworks for the wheel to get replaced with Alcantara. I'll post it up once it's finished.

Most likely headed up to Atlanta end of next week to have it done. I'll post updates for sure. I' plan on starting a build thread soon, but waiting on some items to come in first before I start it. JPM did a full interior for another vehicle of mine that came out pretty sick. They do some fantastic work. If others are interested I'm sure they could create a "core swap" for anyone that would like to do the same thing to their wheel.

Quick update, I'll be at JPM Coachworks next Wednesday and will post up the pics of the new wheel while being crafted. The shifter boot will be changed and going to cover the rear center rest in alcantara as well. Sorry guys, I thought I could get this done sooner, but they've been too busy to get me in for two days for the work. Anyways, I'm on the books so I'll keep you updated.

Have you guys had Alcantera in a DD before? The stuff gets worn pretty quickly on high contact areas and starts looking bad for DD purposes. I loved the stuff in my GT3, 360 CS and 430 Challenge for purposes of grip and staying firmly panted in the seat, but it gets worn looking very quickly and these cars were no where near close to DDs.

I am not one of those **** people that really care or even wash my car more than once a month usually.so this may bother some more than me. Does look great though and you gotta love the feel. Just a heads up in case . . .

The issues I have experienced over the years were more of a fading, fibers pulling out or smoothing. Some aftermarket companies use a micro fibre which may hold up better. Still love and swear by alcantara for performance driving. Not difficult to recover. Enjoy. Looks great and will feel great.

I was thinking the same thing as far as wear goes. They look nice and feel great on the track and in the canyons but they definitely wear quite a bit especially on a DD.

Still have your GT3?
