No TVD. No Launch or sunroof options? No variable rear wing? I do like the auto-electrically retractable door mirrors and Driver's Seat Position Memory though. Those are two features that I wish my RC possessed. Still glad I bought when I did.

It was in coming. No update for the RCF in 2024 Q4 was the sign and lack of interest from TMC/Lexus as they have removed a lot of components from it since 2022. Plus Yaguchi San (grandfather of F) retired in 2020 after facelift.
Well, it was fun. The best Lexus in modern era and the last true F car. Theres no more in the pursuit of perfection with the death of RCF. 12000 total cars in 10 years. Fairly rare car. It's exactly like an SLS AMG in that regard. I doubt there will ever be another F car now. LFR is a Hybrid V8, and will they give it F badge? Let's see.
They won many races in RCF GT3 and LM GT3 class from Vasser Sullivan and Akkodis ASP, I wish we got that 5.4L bored out 500HP version of the 2UR engine. But Lexus deemed there's no market nor reason as they are busy churning out turbo poppers and F Sport trims neglecting their true F. Yuuichi Tsurumoto wanted to give the Track Edition that GT3 powerplant sadly never happened due to Toyota higher ups and their Gazoo racing plans for 2cyl engines.
Market was also like that, many hate RCF for its weight, performance, interior. Which are perfect in their own way as RCF rigidity is exceptional and it's ability to Track and not get overheated like LC 500. Plus it's F spirit. There's even option to upgrade Carbon Ceramic Rotors from Track edition, fun part is it has spring and pins, which are exact same parts used in LFA. The interior is timeless and just perfect with its unique gauges. The high sport back F seats are best looking seats on the planet.
That new paint Sonic Iridium is fire. Although it does not have the TVD which is my favorite of RCF, gives it character and uniqueness. Every single performance car has E-LSD or hybrid motors. This one does not and it does not even rely on the ABS Braking Torque control but a real Torque Vectoring system that has lasted through test of time.
I will miss the RCF badly. Take care of it fellow RCF enjoyers.

Apparently, the article says they retuned the LSD to somewhat behave in a similar manner to what looks like the TVD.
I also read the 2023 article and it gives answers to what the strut chassis brace was removed. Apparently, Lexus did some additional work for the 2023 model year on the rigidity. Most likely, they felt the chassis brace was not needed anymore as a result.

Torsen LSD tuned - Wonder what did they do, and final drive ratio of this. Still I would prefer the bespoke TVD only.
Unique startup animation with "Everlasting" text.
Ultrasuede insert seats, they look very nice with that red stripe.
Automatic closing Mirrors.
Plaque inserts in center console, Engine cover.
Now the auto close mirrors got me interested, I wonder if we can finally mod these to ours ? However they are blacked out not a big deal if we can just plug and play onto ours. Or get painted Mirror Caps from Lexus factory and fit the motor and the door cup unit.

For now $94K starting price, wish they dropped its weight, CF hood and spoiler, removed the back seats and tweaked the engine for more horsepower. I mean, send it off with a bang! But thats just me lol.

The carbon ceramic Brembo rotors and calipers from the LFA are not the same with what was used on the RC F Track Edition. The only thing they share are both built by Brembo and carbon ceramic.

I really hate to see the RC go but I knew it was coming. Years ago I went to work at my local Lexus dealership with the dream of scooping a CPO RC-F, GS-F, or LC500 at a cheap price. I used to drool over RC-F’s in the showroom every day and drive them every chance I got. I almost bought one before I quit, but my BMW was bleeding me dry at the moment and it would’ve been a nightmare to trade in.
This Final Edition looks great, but it’s way out of my price range. I’ve been thinking about finding a 2020+ RC-F but they’re so rare and still pricey. It will likely be the next big car purchase I make if I end up going that route. The RC has been one of the best looking cars on the road for over a decade now.

Indeed. It has aged gracefully. I remember everyone said it was over styled, predator grille and Lexus trying too hard etc., but the design stood the test of time. The 2020+ refresh updates also look very good.

I remember that too. A lot of people praised the M4’s styling over, but the RC-F is jaw dropping in person in a way that is hard to capture in a photo. Once I saw the RC in person up close it blew me away. The grille works well on the early F and F-Sport RC.
When the regular RC got the refresh in 2019 it really cemented the RC as being the best looking, non-exotic coupe out there along with the LC500. The front end remind me a lot of the LC and the current IS.
Your RC-F is stunning. Molten Pearl is so unique and such a fun color.
