Default Question for my experts here about suspension

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to change out the shocks and absorbers on my 2015 Lexus RC F. Since this is my daily driver and I’m not pushing the car too hard or tracking it, my main priority is comfort. I’m considering whether to stick with OEM parts or opt for aftermarket options.

For those of you who have dealt with this, is going with OEM the best choice for maintaining a comfortable ride? Or are there aftermarket options that offer a good balance of comfort and slight performance enhancement without being too aggressive or harsh?

I’m interested in hearing about experiences with both OEM and aftermarket solutions. If you’ve gone the OEM route, did you have to buy each component separately or was everything bundled together? And if you’ve tried aftermarket, what brands or setups would you recommend for a comfortable ride with minimal noise?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I would say, go with coilovers and then you can dial in the rebound and compression to your liking.

So far the best options I’m reading about are Ohlins and KW3 but the pricing is up there.

Do you recommend any around the 2k range and they are not noisy (saw some brands had this issue)?

Do the coilovers come with everything needed or is it like OEM where need to buy things like top hat etc separate?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

We do RSR coilovers as OEM replacements.

thank you as I am strongly considering oem but the only confusion I have is, do I need to buy each part new or I can just buy the strut, coil and maybe the upper mounts and keep things like the insulators etc. same

Normally you wouldn't replace springs, just the shocks/struts and anything rubber, like front mounts and the spring isolators in the rear. There's no aftermarket "ready-strut" available for the RCF. Your options are OEM parts or aftermarket coilovers.

Take a look at the Bell Lexus parts website, you can view the drawings and put together a list of parts you'd need.
