RCF brake pad options
I’m in the process of purchasing a new ‘22 USB RCF (my 3rd Lexus V8… other two are still running great). While I need not worry about this for a while, the OEM pads are like $500 per axle. I’ve noticed a number of aftermarket options, but many specify 2015-2019. Will pads for a 2015-2019 fit a 2022?

Find a better channel, at least go to alibaba directly if you want counterfeit pads, skip out the middle man - thats what I did for ceramic rotors and compatible pads for my Tesla Plaid

There are also brake pads that are great pads that offer less dust, better wear, and quiet like he Posi-quiets and the Brembo pads that I have. You can buy them for $90-$100. I have the Brembos and they work very well for day to day cruising and street use. I did learn the hard way that they cannot stand repeated stops so even aggressive canyon driving is a no-no. There is a GSF member who has tracked a set of pads called Dynamic Friction for the same price. It advertises high temp (1300F) and relatable stops with little fade for around $100. But that is only one member's account.
After some research the Tom's brake pads gets you the higher temp and repeatable non-fade of brake with continuous stops ($400). Project Mu, Endless, and Carbotech offer pads that match the Tom's temp but at a bit of a higher price ($400+). I'll take one for the team and check out the DFCs...if they are junk then I'm going straight to Tom's.

in the same boat now. I’ll most likely start off with the fronts with toms and in due time And get the rears. Do the toms minimize break dust as well ? I do a lot of cruises throughout the year and need the high heat range.
It’s worth it, just spend the money. Practically no dust compared to stock. I do think that I prematurely wore the finish in the wheels by cleaning them all of the time. I felt like after one day of driving the stock pads created so much dust the wheels looked like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. They would also start to squeal when stopping if the calipers weren’t kept clean. All that is behind me now. I did a track day last fall on the Tom’s pads and they performed flawlessly.
