So I was just browsing through my old pictures when i came across the vin number for my car when i first bought it. After checking the specs using the vin, I realized my car wasn't equipped with a torsen. My understanding of the torsen lsd is that it can send more power to the outside wheel during a corner, which I guess allows the car to handle better mid-corner. So I was wondering if a torsen diff will make any noticeable difference by an amateur who goes for spirited drives on the canyons once or twice a week and never pushing the car to its absolute limits around corners. Also how much would it cost to have the dealership installed the torsen lsd if anyone has ever done it.
??? I don't know where you got your information but I thought a torsen lsd only cost like 300 dollars from the official lexus website. I was wondering about the installation price if anyone has done it at a dealership.

LOL $300 as an option ya. Except you already have the car and didn't option it with one.. Here you go- Click Here, From Lexus
To be fair, I bet VERY VERY few(if any at all) ever got that option. It APPEARS, as I stare through alldata, that anything down to '14 IS/GS share the same diff. So maybe there's an aftermarket you can use, like the OS Giken for IS350 (still $1700+ lol)

Really not worth the money in my opinion.
Its definitely worth the $300 if you buy your RC new. You'll notice a difference right away when coming out of a corner while on throttle. I did find it amusing though that the TVD for the RCF is listed at $29,076.49...
It doesn't, as I mentioned in my post about looking through Alldata and 2014+ models. Also says on their own web page-
Also, given the amount of nonsense I've heard about RR, why does anyone still trust what they offer[rhetorical]? There are WAY better places to spend money that won't play these kind of games lol.

First of all, please forgive me for an ignorant question as I am VERY new here (just purchased my RC350 like, 2 weeks ago), but I have to ask what makes you say that about RR. I ask because I was looking at a few purchases from them, but have so far only seen one (fairly unintelligible) bad review which was about their SC kit, which I would not be interested in. Thanks for any background you can provide!
