Sure would be nice if they updated for us 2015 folks. Then I might actually use it more.

Has anyone tried to apply the update to previous model years that are not listed as 'compatible'?

Really wish we had some sort of timeline for Android Auto. Lexus said they would support it but didn't give any dates or additional info.

Ahhhm, thank you!!

I have more information from Toyotanation and my car:

My car (RC300h European model) has these ID:

DCU: 17LDL2EU-DB01
MEU: 17LML2EU-FB00

But he bulletin Toyotanation forum are providing talks about

17LDL2NA-DB01 (DCU)
17LML2NA-DB01

So I guess NA is for North America and EU for Europe.

Also, part numbers inside the update files do not match mine...

And Also no trace of that bulletin at www.lexus-tech.eu

So, I think I´m going to wait to see if we get from information in Europe before trying the update myself, but I was really excited because last week I used a (rental) car with CarPlay and I really liked it.

To be continued...

The links from the document to download the software don't work? What is the source of these documents, mind sharing?

It wont be able to work on the 15-17's very very sadly. the difference between the two screens would cause a huge issue. Im sure youd probably be able to flash it but it wouldnt look normal or be useable on the screen.

Lexus PLEASE update the 15's thru the 17's!

Ran the update for my 2018 RC 350. Update took about 55-60 mins and worked the 1st try. Google maps look so beautiful on the wider screen, don't have to stare at a tiny phone screen anymore.
